Tzatziki is a very typical traditional greek appetizer with intense and cool taste, appropriate for every season of the year. That makes it the absolute master of appetizers. An extra benefit that distinguishes this dip is that all the ingredients can be found easily all year round so we can prepare it whenever we wish!

It’s impossible not to catch our eye in a tavern during summer season, accompanying fried zucchini and eggplants. Tzatziki is totally connected with the unforgettable summer in Greece!

As we may see below, it stands out for the simplicity and the quick preparation verifying the greek expression “less is more”

Our Chef Antonis Theodorakis suggests:

Tzatziki, the most famous dip

    • ½ kg strained yogurt
    • 2 cucumbers, diced into very small cubes
    • 4 stalks dill, shredded
    • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 tbs vinegar
    • 3 tbs olive oil
    • Salt

Preparation

Place the yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic and salt in a bowl and mix well. Slowly add the vinegar and the olive oil and mix again.
At the end, store tzatziki in the fridge in order to have a cool and fresh taste and enjoy it any time you wish!
It can last for many days in the fridge.

Ready to taste!
