Getting to know the cultural aspect of Thessaloniki and the surroundings

Either you are visitor or resident in Thessaloniki, below you can find a list with the main and most interesting museums in and out of the city that are worth to visit. For some of them, during the winter period (from 01/11 until 31/03), visitors are entitled with reduced entrance fee. Additionally, every Sunday from 01/11 until 31/03 you can visit the state museums free of charge. At this point, you may check below the free admission days (valid for the state museums):

Every Sunday from 1st of November until 31st of March

The free admission day on the 18th of May and on the last weekend of September, is valid for the majority of the museums (and for the private museums as well).

Tip: It’s better to visit Noesis during the weekend so that there is more flexibility on the areas as during week days the schedule is adjusted on school visits. Also, during week days only singe tickets (7€-5€) are available while on weekends you can find full-day tickets.
